Heber Springs is home to world-famous AROMATIQUE, maker of scents and potpourri, and RED APPLE INN on EDEN ISLE where you will find the quality of living at its best with fine dining and a well-manicured golf course. EDEN ISLE is a favorite of retirees in the area who share a passion for life after fifty. Along with these favorites, add Tannenbaum Resort, as well as other nearby courses.
Our championship 18-hole golf course is one of the loveliest in Arkansas and features panoramic hilltop views of the lake as well as tree-lined corridors. Architect Gary Panks blended the island’s rolling hills, trees, and majestic hilltop vistas into a course that is challenging to the novice and expert alike. Hole #2 was voted the most scenic hole in Arkansas by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in 2006. Our par 71, 6,018-yard course is a fun course to conquer.
Carved out of the Ozark Mountains surrounding the crystal-clear waters of Greers Ferry Lake, Tannenbaum is actually a peninsula surrounded by water. Every hole is tree-lined and elevation from tee to green changes drastically, especially #12, where the drop is 130 feet straight downhill to a semi-island green carved from the mountainside. The John Floyd-designed course offers five sets of tees and one of the most challenging layouts in the state; it was rated by Golf Digest as one of the best places to play in 2005-2006. Tannenbaum also offers a 10-acre proactive facility with driving range, putting and chipping green and practice bunker. Its convenient location puts Tannenbaum close to world-record trout fishing on the Little Red River, recreation on Greers Ferry Lake, arts, crafts and shopping and other nearby Natural State Golf Trail courses.
